Does technology encourage teamwork?

Technology is an useful tool to face the lack of research that students have, but how positive is it related to Teamworks?
The next videos are three testimonies related to the topic.

Katherine is a Pedagogy student, she is in fourth year of English Pedagogy and also she is our classmate. she used to do her group works by internet and tells us a little bit why she prefers to do it in that way.

In our second video there is Magdalena, a 12 year old´s student from Saint George College. She also likes to use internet to communicate with her classmates when they have to do group works. If she doesnt have time to join with her classmates she prefers to use e-mails.

Finally we have an interesting comment. She is Heather,  an English teacher who works at Saint George College. She is from USA and she gives us a complete and interesting opinion about doing group works by Internet. Lets hear what she says and make comments about it. Do you agree with her point of view?

Teamwork!

Before reading chapter two about "Some properties of work groups" we used to believe that working in groups was just something about join together because of one specific task and finish it, but now, we have a different conception about what really means working in teams!

First of all we realized about the differences between "groups" and "teams". A group has more relation with our previous definition, and it is not as committed as teams. We think that a "team" is a group of people who join together in order to work for the same goal in a cohesive way. It means that the members are really involved with all the aspects of the team, as background and atmosphere.
Background is somethig that each member has, based on their previous experiences and working with other groups, all these knowledge is really meaningful at the time
